How does one piss off Putin? Why, be historically inaccurate of course! Every educated person knows that before the USSR invaded Poland in 1939 [Molotov-Ribentropp pact] - Poland invaded Czechoslovakia, in cahoots with Hitler [Munich Agreement, 1938.] The Molotov-Ribentropp pact has been publicly condemned by the modern Russian parliament, and brought down to being a personal pact between Hitler and Stalin themselves, rather than any will of the people. Yet Russia continues to serve the "Russian aggression" myth to this day - without recourse to the fact that Poland had sided with Hitler beforehand.

If you're going to "pick out the raisins" from a mouldy bread bun, and leave the mould out for the other party - that other party best not be Mr. Putin.
