At least 290 terrorists and their families left the problematic Al Waar district of Homs earlier on Monday.

The move is a part of the reconciliation agreement between the Syrian government and armed opposition forces and is said to be extended for further 6-8 weeks, during which at least 1500 persons are expected to leave the district of Al Waar.

Previously on March 18th, the first batch of terrorists and their families started to leave Al Waar. During that time, 423 terrorists and 1056 of their family members left the district.

Al Waar was the only district of Homs which remained outside the Syrian government control, following the liberation of the city back in May 2014. The terrorists stationed in Al Waar would frequently fire rockets and mortars at the residential areas in Homs, often causing casualties.
