On 26th April, a mass brawl broke out on a live talk show "The Meeting Place", on Russia's NTV channel. The reason was the statement of a Polish guest, Tomas Matseychuk, about veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
Matseychuk called Russia's veterans the "red fascists", after which he received a clear blow to the head by a well known journalist, Ruslan Ostashko. Ukrainian journalist Elena Boyko joined into the fight, as well as other guests of the program. Ostashko can be see to hold up Matseuchuk, asking "are you done provoking?" After a short time the conflicting parties were led away and the program continued.
This is not the first time that Matseychuk causes a stir. On another occasion, a live Russian talk show was taken off air.
