A resident of Budapest has apologized for the fact that during Budapest protests last week (against the closure of the Central European University in Budapest), he threw containers of paint over a monument to Soviet soldiers-liberators of WWII. Having seen this, a Chechen national by the name of Magomed, originating from Grozny and living in Budapest, took matters into his own hands.

He located the vandal, and "a conversation was had". Consequently, the vandal acknowledged his wrongdoing. A video was uploaded to social media networks, drawing much praise for Magomed standing up for the right thing.

"I want to apologize to everyone I hurt. It was a mistake. I was not going to hurt anyone." - said the young man with a beard and dreadlocks, the repentant activist named Gergely Komárom.
