The Permanent Mission of North Korea to the UN has emphasised that Pyongyang has powerful means of deterrence against Washington's nuclear threat.
North Korea is not afraid of war with the United States and has no doubt about its eventual triumph in "a deadly battle with the US imperialists." This was announced by the permanent representative to the UN on 26 April, 2017.
"North Korea, as a peace-loving socialist state, above all, appreciate peace, but it is not afraid of war and does not want to avoid it," - it said in a written statement.
"North Korea will respond to all-out war, full-scale war, nuclear war, and is sure to win in a deadly battle with the US imperialists," - warned the Embassy.
This happens amidst the backdrop of the US administration sending nuclear ships to the peninsula.
