A scandal broke out in Armenia.
The British embassy in the Armenian capital city of Yerevan decided to raise an LGBT flag from its building, due to alleged oppressive policies towards LGBT groups in the country.
In a response, angered Armenian locals decided to display banners of the IRA.
The Irish Republican Army (IRA) is a paramilitary movement, seeking to end the British rule in Northern Ireland.

This is not the first time any of the British embassy buildings decided to raise the LGBT flag.
Previously, the British embassies in Riga and Santiago did the same.
