Units of the Syrian Army and their allies from NDF gained control over strategic town of Zalaqiyat, located in the northern countryside of Hama province, following a major-scale assault which was launched yesterday.

On Saturday afternoon, hours after mounting another assault, units of the Syrian army and their NDF allies finally walked into town, leaving dozens of terrorist corpses behind. According to the military sources, Zalaqiyat and the surrounding hills are now under complete control of the army.

The town was previously occupied by Al Nusra Front allies Hayat Tahrir Al Sham and Jaysh Al Izza.

Meanwhile, reports came that terrorists are launching rocket-propelled grenades at the town of Mhardeh, also located in the northern countryside of Hama province.
