The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Kharkov has accused the wholesale retail network of household television appliances, which distribute the software that allows banned Russian television channels to be viewed in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
"The operatives of the SBU in the Kharkiv region have established that the management of one of the retail chains, which sells household electrical appliances, organized the installation of additional software on SMART-televisions. For a surcharge, customers are offered the ability to view TV channels of the aggressor country, which are prohibited by the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, due to the threat to national security" - it said in a statement.
Law enforcers have found that the software was developed by Ukrainian IT-specialists. SBU has raided the shops of the retail network and the places of residence of the defendants. The SBU has opened a criminal case under Art. 110 (encroachment on territorial integrity and security of Ukraine.)
