Syria: Key Power Plant Resumes its Service, Terrorists Keep Pressuring Civilians - Like This Article

While the Syrian delegation is participating in the peace talks in Astana, Syrian Army continues with its operations against the terrorists.
Earlier on Wednesday, army units launched against ISIS positions in Oum Sahrij village, located to the east of Homs city. A pick-up truck, equipped with a heavy machine-gun and a rocket-launching platform was destroyed, in addition to annihilation of 6 terrorists.
The army also established control over the villages of Al Tudmouriyeh, Al Khaliliyeh and Al Mhashem in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Meanwhile, clashes between Jaysh Al Islam, Syria’s largest terrorist group and their former allies from Al Nusra Front and Al Rahman Brigade, continue in the Damascene suburban area of Eastern Ghouta. 

The terrorists are also attacking civilians. One person was killed and another one was injured due to mortar shells that fell on Harasta suburban area of Damascus. According to Damascene police sources, terrorists, stationed in the district of Al Qaboun, were responsible for the shelling. Material damage was dealt to public and private properties.

At least 7 people were killed and 20 were left wounded as a result of a car bomb that struck the town of Azaz, located in the northern countryside of Aleppo province.

Terrorists from Al Nusra Front targeted Al Zara power plant, located in the in the southern countryside of Hama province. Material damage was caused due to mortar shells. A little while later, terrorists also shelled residential areas in in the towns of Al Saqailabiah and Salhab.

On the other hand, the authorities finally managed to put the Mhardeh Power plant back in service after nearly 7 months of service suspension, resulting from the shelling by the terrorists, operating in the vicinity. Half of the power plant’s capacities are already back in service. It is estimated that the entire Syrian Electrical Grid is now increased by some 110 Megawatts.
