White House was placed under lockdown, after one of the protesters, demonstrating against the visit of Turkish authoritarian President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, managed to get over security fence, on Tuesday.
During a meeting between US President Trump as his Turkish counterpart Erdogan, security measures were very tight, especially after hundreds of protesters, most of them being American Kurds, Armenians and Yezidis, surrounded the area of White House in order to express their dissatisfaction with Erdogan’s visit.
Some of the protesters were violently beaten by Erdogan’s thugs. One female protester even had to be hospitalized after suffering seizure.
It is noteworthy that Erdogan himself was among the major backers of terrorists in Syria.
