CNN accusation of "Russian footprint" in Qatar crisis is not real - Peskov - Like This Article

June 7, 2017 - Fort Russ News -

The information disseminated by the American TV channel CNN, "is not tied to reality". This statement was made by the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the accusation that news agencies in Qatar were attacked by Russian hackers.

"This is another lie. Unfortunately, our colleagues from CNN repeatedly publish articles, citing "an unnamed sourc"e in an "unnamed division" in some intelligence service, and so on, and so on, that it is completely detached from the reality." says Peskov.

Earlier, CNN journalists claimed that Moscow sought to create tension between the US and its allies in the region of Qatar, hacking their news agencies.

Qatar has recently sparked a diplomatic scandal in the Persian Gulf. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, UAE, Libya, Yemen, Maldives, Mauritius and Mauritania have broken off all contact with the Gulf state.
