After successfully launching a new offensive in Damascus countryside yesterday with an attempt to fully liberate the embattled districts of Jobar and Ein Tarma, the Syrian forces made even more progress on Wednesday.

According to the field reports, scores of the terrorists were killed and their vehicles destroyed when Al Nusra Front gatherings and movements were hit in Al Rawabi, Tal Rinaba, the surrounding areas of Beir Al Qasab and Rajm Al Sarihi, located in the southeast of Damascus countryside.

4 transport vehicles and 3 more equipped with heavy machine-guns, 5 motorcycles and a rocket launcher, were destroyed during the strikes.

The Army units also managed to take control over several buildings northeast of Jobar after clashes with Joulani’s Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham and Al Rahman brigade.

The Syrian Army and its Air Force units, however, weren’t alone.

Intense airstrikes were conducted by Russian and Air Force all the time and in fact were so severe that the Erdogan-regime backed Jaysh Al Islam immediately announced a cessation of all hostilities with its rival group Al Rahman Brigade.

It is noteworthy the two groups are at odds since May after Jaysh Al Islam attempted to storm Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham and Al Rahman brigade territories in the Damascene suburban area of Eastern Ghouta.

Now Jaysh Al Islam has realized that having a feud with the two other terrorist groups would only worsen the things.

The Army also continued with the operations in Hama province, carrying out intense strikes against gatherings and movements of ISIS terrorists in the area between the oil pipeline and Taberet Al Daibah, located east of the town of Salamiyeh, killing and injuring dozens of the terrorists, in addition to destruction of their weapons, equipment and ammunition stockpiles.
