ISIS terrorists are massively leaving their stronghold of Raqqah, a city in northern Syria, that has since 2014 been known as "the capital of Islamic State".

The move comes, following an alleged secret deal between the US-funded opposition group Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Kurdish separatist group YPG.

According to some unverified sources, ISIS are leaving Raqqa in order to hand it over to the SDF/YPG so they can safely cross into other ISIS-occupied areas in Iraq and Syria.

The SDF/YPG coalition has reportedly stopped its offensive against ISIS after the latter started to leave Raqqa on Tuesday.

Fears are arising, ISIS might now expand its presence in other areas of Iraq and Syria.

The sudden move comes amid major gains by the Syrian Army in clashes against ISIS.

The gains were so successful that earlier this week US-led international anti-ISIS coalition started issued threats against the Syrian Army.

Meanwhile, Russian forces in Syria are  preparing themselves for possible ISIS expansions south of Raqqah.

On Tuesday night, units of the Russian Air Force annihilated 80 ISIS terrorists and destroyed 36 of their vehicles, 8 fuel trucks and 17 pick-up cars that tried to flee the occupied city of Raqqa.
