Jordan has officially withdrawn from invading Syria.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Royal Jordanian Army, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Abdel Halim Fraihat, officially announced that Jordanian Armed Forces do not have any presence within the Syrian territory and will never ever even attempt to enter it, saying there is no need for such thing.

In the past, Damascus, accused Jordan of being a key actor in the new British and American plan for military intervention in southern Syria, stressing that any of such moves will immediately be considered hostile.

Previously, on April 26th, Jordanian King Abdullah II said his country might invade Syria, should that be necessary to preserve its national security.

Latest announcement by Jordanian Armed Forces, however, comes amid the huge Syrian Army victories against ISIS in the southern regions of the Syrian Desert (and which have since thwarted the American dreams of taking control of Syrian-Jordanian border).

With the latest advancements, Syrian Army managed to secure the so-called "Jordan-Damascus-Baghdad" triangle, meaning that any hopes of invading Syria from the south are now lost.

The US side is currently acting a bit "hysterical" and has already threatened Syrian Army with consequences, should there be any more progress made.
