Lugansk appeals to the UN for help in evacuating children - Like This Article

June 8th, 2017 - Fort Russ News -

The representative of the People's Militia of Lugansk, Andrew Marochko, has stated to RT that Ukrainian troops have stopped their offensive for the time being and retreated. Earlier, they engaged in intensive shelling, which means children could not be safely evacuated.

He explained that the Ukrainian security forces made three attempts to break through the defense of Lugansk, which ended unsuccessfully.

"We're ready to evacuate our children, but we cannot do it - mass bombardment continues and the children sit in basements. I turn to the representatives of the UN to protect human rights, maybe they can at least help in the evacuation of children" - says Marochko.

Localities of Zhelobok, Frunze and Kirovsk were subjected to incessant heavy shelling by Kiev's forces over the past day.
