Two frigates and a submarine of the Russian Navy have targeted ISIS positions in the eastern countryside of Hama province by launching six Kalibr cruise missiles.

In a statement, issued on Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian Navy’s Admiral Essen and Admiral Grigorovich frigates and a Krasnodar submarine launched six Kalibr cruise missiles from the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, targeting ISIS positions in the eastern countryside of the Syrian province of Hama.

Due to intense power used and the surprising nature of the attack, ISIS terrorists met with severe losses as they got deprived of several of their command centers, major weapon and ammunition depots, in addition to dozens of the terrorists, after missiles destroyed their positions in the vicinity of the town of Akerbat, located in the eastern countryside of Hama province.
