Saudi officials have closed down all Al Jezeera offices that were operating in the country, according to the statement from the Saudi Ministry of Culture.

The Qatari TV network was also banned from broadcasting in the country and its websites are currently inaccessible to residents of Saudi Arabia.

Several other Qatari media outlets have reportedly been banned as well.

The decision of Saudi regime comes only a few hours after the country ceased all diplomatic relations with Qatar, citing terrorism and meddling in internal affairs as the main reason for making such move.

Bahrain, Libya, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Maldives have also cut all diplomatic relations with Qatar.

Some sources claim the main reason behind the decision could be a recent statement of Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in which he described Iran as a “true Islamic power”.

It is noteworthy that Al Jazeera and its false propaganda played a key role in destabilizing Syria and Libya, with some of its anchors even openly calling for extermination of certain minority groups in Syria.
