Sweden and Poland decide to be friends against Russia - Like This Article

Sweden and Poland have spoken in favor of retaining the anti-Russian sanctions of the EU. This was stated by the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven.

The Swedish Prime Minister has held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Poland Beatoy Shidlo. "We would like to keep the sanctions until the moment when Russia will implement the Minsk agreement", - he said.

Once again, representatives of the EU insist that Russia is party to the agreement, although Moscow has repeatedly noted that it is Kiev that is the actual signatory to the agreement.

The Prime Ministers of Sweden and Poland discussed the relationship with Russia, as well as "threats and issues of concern to the authorities of these countries."

However, the PMs agreed on the need to reduce "tensions in the Baltic region." Apparently, it is a synthetic anti-Russian hysteria created by the local politicians and the military.

Although the EU generally supports new sanctions against Russia, Austria and Germany hvae condemned the tightening of sanctions against on behalf of the United States Congress.

Some experts have pointed out that while Europe will support the sanctions, formally, regulators will turn a blind eye to violations based on the fact they are simply impractical.
