Units of the Syrian Army continued with anti-ISIS operations in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour, on Tuesday.
According to the field reports, several ISIS terrorists were left dead and injured, following the raids on ISIS gatherings and hideouts in the neighborhoods of Al Hweiqa, Al Matar Al Qadim and Al Arfi in Deir Ez Zour city.
The raids came after ISIS terrorists were trying to attack the military checkpoints in the neighbourhood of the Al Reshidiyeh.
All their attempts failed and as a result 5 ISIS terrorists were killed and many more were left wounded after Syrian Army’s artillery units started to pound their positions in the vicinity of the graveyards, Al Hweiqa neighbourhood, Syrian Army Regiment 137 and the village of Al Bagheliyeh.
Scores of ISIS terrorists were also killed and a heavy machine-gun-equipped vehicle destroyed after Syrian Air Force hit their positions and hideouts east of the paper factory, Hweijet Al Mreaiyah and in the village of Al Bouleel in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province.
