Two deserters of the Ukrainian army were shot by fighters of the National Guard. This was stated today by Eduard Basurin, deputy Defense Minister of Donetsk.

"It is important to note that yesterday we recorded a skirmish between the divisions and subdivisions of the National Guard, near Krasnogorovka area. According to the information which we have obtained, the cause of the shootout was provocative fire against two fugitive soldiers of the Ukrainian army."

The deputy Commander said that the conflict between the members of the National Guard and soldiers of the armed forces, who do not wish to take part in the genocide of the people of Donbass, is gaining momentum. This conflict affects not only the soldiers, but also civilians of Krasnogorovka and nearby settlements.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian command began a massive campaign in search of soldiers who deserted from military units in the Donbass. The number of deserters from the Ukrainian army was around 10,000 people at the end of May.
