Ukrainians prefer Russian Crimea to visa-free Europe - Like This Article

June 21, 2017 - Fort Russ News -

This year, Russian tourists had less  resources to travel to the Crimea. The number of tourists to the peninsula  fell by a third. But Crimea has pulled through thanks to tourists from mainland Ukraine.

As described by tourism company Buspro24, whose buses are eight to nine times a day sent to the Crimea via the Odessa route, the demand is surely there.

"Tickets are best booked for four or five days. All summer people go to the Crimea, and availability is almost nil "- said the admin.

Passengers themselves are reluctant to talk about holidaying in the peninsula.

"I'm going to stay with relatives, every year I go for a month and a half. What do you care? I used to holiday there all the time, to me it is cheaper than in Odessa ", - snapped an elderly passenger.

While the stigma is there, it seems practicality wins over politics.
