Aircrafts of the US-led international “anti-ISIS” coalition were spotted using the internationally banned white phosphorus bombs in some of their recent raids on the Syrian city of Raqqah, social media activists claim.
The same sources also said the airstrikes targeted areas in the western parts of Raqqah and in the area between Al Mashlab and Al Sinaa neighborhoods, Al Sabahi neighborhood, claiming the lives of 17 people, including 12 in a raid on an internet cafe in Al Jazra area next to the Euphrates River.
Only yesterday, 14 civilians were killed in an airstrike that hit a residential building in Raqqah.
Various social media sites are currently sharing photos and videos of the coalition’s raids on the east and west of Raqqa, displaying the use of white phosphorus bombs during several of its raids and which are prohibited by international law.
It is noteworthy the same coalition forces frequently like to accuse the Syrian government of ordering the use of chemical weapons.
