Representatives of the Russian delegation, in particular - the coaching staff of a water polo team at the World Championships in Aquatics in Budapest were forced to remove their T-shirts with five-pointed red stars and inscriptions of the USSR.

Hungarian police conducted searches at the entrance to the stadium - saying that, the Soviet star is equated in Hungary to Nazi symbols and is prohibited by law.

A security officer had apologized to the Russian team and warned that the clothing with Soviet insignia is not allowed. Moreover, the "violators" may face fines, withdrawal of accreditation, and even expulsion from the country.
