New progress, made by the Syrian forces and their allies against ISIS terrorists in the depths of the Syrian Desert, was reported on Wednesday. 

According to the field reports, the Army units are now less than 1 km away from Al Hael oil field in the eastern countryside of Palmyra, and are currently besieging ISIS terrorists, lurking in their hideouts, from directions of the west, south, and southeast.

Meanwhile, in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour, artillery units of the Syrian army once again heavily pounded ISIS gatherings and movements in the village of Al Baghiliyeh, located in the western countryside of Deir Ez Zour.

Dozens of the terrorists were killed and their vehicles were destroyed.

In addition, the Syrian Air Force carried out series of airstrikes, targeting ISIS positions in Al Thardeh area, Al Taim Badia, Howeijet Katea, the villages of Al Jneineh and Al Baghiliyeh and the neighborhoods of Al Rashidiyeh, Al Hamidiyeh and Al Howeiqa in Deir Ez Zour city, leaving scores of ISIS corpses behind and destroying a tank.
