Polish political prisoner Piskorski now "Chinese spy" in CIA-backed hysteria - Like This Article

On July 14, 2017, the case proceedings of Polish political prisoner Mateusz Piskorski took a new turn when Piskorski was slapped with new allegations of “espionage on behalf of China” by the prosecutor’s office.

Piskorski has been “temporarily imprisoned” on no formal charges for 425 days now, the legal pretext for such being ongoing investigations into the allegations presented by Poland’s Internal Security  Service (ABW) that Piskorski has committed espionage on behalf of Russia. More than a year later, however, Piskorski’s proceedings are still kept secret from the public and no evidence or formal charges have been presented by Polish authorities.

This new “Chinese investigation”, launched just as the legally provided time-limit for the “Russian inquiry” was beginning to run out, could ensure that Piskorski is kept “temporarily imprisoned” for up to another two years of closed-door investigations and trials.

On the way to one of his hearings back in April, Piskorski was violently beaten , after which the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg accepted Piskorski's case for review. According to the Polish edition of Sputnik, however, the Strasbourg court has suddenly dropped the grievance.

Piskorski caught on camera being marched into his 5th "trial hearing" back on March 15th

On the first anniversary of Piskorski’s imprisonment on May 18, 2017, Fort Russ’ Jafe Arnold predicted such a plot twist in conversation with the Russian edition of RT, saying: “If the investigation fails to find any evidence that he was a 'Russian spy,' then they can simply change the angle of the investigation or initial allegations. Like Polish media alleged on the day that he was arrested, they could proceed to endlessly investigate him as a suspected Chinese spy, an Iranian spy, an Iraqi spy, etc…Given that it has been revealed that the CIA and FBI aided Poland’s special services in observing and arresting Piskorski, it is clear that this case is very important to high geopolitical forces.”

Mateusz Piskorski was arrested on May 18, 2016 during raids on members of the political party he heads, Zmiana (“Change”), two days after Piskorski had warned of increasing political repression in Poland under the pretext of NATO’s “combatting Russian hybrid war” doctrine.

Fort Russ has been one of the only English-language resources to actively cover the Piskorski case and provide translations of Piskorski's prison letters.
