Qatar has confirmed the rejection of the requirements of the Arab 'quartet', and expressed regret at this position, it said in a statement issued after the meeting of the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt in Cairo.

"We regret the negative responses received from Qatar, which is indicative of neglectful and careless approach to the problem", - stated the document, read by Egyptian Foreign Minister.

On June 5, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt severed diplomatic relations with Doha and stopped all communication with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism and interference in their internal affairs. Later they were joined by a number of other states. Kuwait is mediating  the conflict.

Arab countries urged Qatar to agree on the implementation of the requirements of the neighbors, within 10 days. The ultimatum contains 13 items, including lowering the level of diplomatic and military relations with Iran, the closure of the Turkish military base, the cessation of funding of terrorist organizations, non-interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries that support the opposition leaders, as well as the closure of the entire "Al-Jazeera satellite television network.

Qatar has rejected the accusations and the requirements put forward as unrealistic and can not be performed.
