Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has commented that representatives of the State Department do not keep up with the real events surrounding the Syrian issue. The official representative of the US, Heather Nauert said that the Russian minister "is a talker" and likes to "get ahead of himself", when commenting on the words of Lavrov on the establishment of a monitoring center for a ceasefire.
"I do not understand how this lady could know what I'm like, I've never met her." - Lavrov said, adding that he did not need to "get ahead of himself", given that 'others' fall behind in the knowledge of actual events in Syria.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the document on the establishment of a monitoring center in Jordan was signed by representatives of the three countries: Russia, the United States and Jordan. Its creation was announced on July 10. It is planned that the center will be in direct contact with the Syrian opposition and pro-government forces.
