On August 11, military personnel of the Donetsk Peoples Republic, on the western outskirts of Donetsk, shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The drone was armed with lethal weapons. This was announced today by the deputy commander of the operational command of the Democratic Party Eduard Basurin.

"On August 11, the Ukrainian war criminals tried to use the Komandor unmanned aerial vehicle of the "multi-rotor" type, on which a KZ-6 shaped charge was installed, on residential buildings of the village of Old Mikhailovka (the western outskirts of Donetsk - ed.). Only, thanks to the vigilance of our defenders of the sky, who shot down the enemy aircraft, we managed to avoid casualties among civilians," the representative of the defense ministry of the DPR said.

Note that Ukrainian armed forces, in violation of the Minsk agreements, regularly use drones to reconnoiter and adjust fire in the so-called "ATO" zone.

In late July, Ukrainian troops presented the Gorlitsa drone system and the missile-equipped modernized unmanned vehicle Phantom-2.
