Russian Ministry of Defense claims its forces have seriously injured Abu Mohammed Al Joulani, the supreme leader of the Al Qaeda linked Hay’ Tahrir Al Sham (ex-Al Nusra Front) terrorist group.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Joulani is in critical condition after losing an arm, while 12 other leaders of the group were killed.
“Joulani sustained shrapnel wounds and is in critical condition after losing his arm, according to information from multiple independent sources,” the Ministry’s spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said.
On October 3rd, Russian intelligence discovered exact time and place of Hay'at Tahrir Al Sham (Al Nusra Front) leadership’s meeting which was led by Jouliani.
After receiving confirmation of the terrorists’ arrival and the start of the meeting, Su-34 fighter-bombers and Su-35 fighters were deployed and struck the location.
