Israeli intelligence minister Yisrael Katz has called for tougher sanctions against Tehran in order to weaken the Lebanese movement Hezbollah.
“It’s time to impose tougher economic sanctions on Iran in order to weaken Hezbollah”, Katz told Israeli Army Radio on Monday morning.
Previously, Katz said the Iranian nuclear deal should be revised.
He also pointed out that the nuclear deal with Iran shall be approached with a “tougher” Israeli move so that the world will not have to deal with another nuclear crisis.
Katz reiterated the positions of Israeli officials about the resignation of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, describing it as a “turning point” that “exposed the true colours” of Hezbollah
