Lugansk. LNR plans to start gold production in 2018.
The industrial development of the gold deposit located on the territory of the Lugansk Peoples Republic should begin in 2018, said the head of the republic Igor Plotnitsky.
"I spoke of it a few times, but this year it did not happen because funding was required elsewhere, and we have postponed the project a bit. I'll try to make sure that in 2018 our gold mine is opened," he said.
Plotnitsky noted that gold mining will not be super-profitable.
"But there will still be profit there, but this will be an signal for us, that we have it, and we can do it. Secondly, only the actual working will show how serious this vein and placer are," he said.
Earlier it became known that a Polish firm sells coal from the LPR and the DPR to five EU countries
