November 5 , 2017 - Fort Russ News -

Adviser to the President and Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Yuri Biryukov, called on the militants of the so-called "ATO" (anti terrorist operation) to sort out the situation with Matreshka dolls, which are sold at the Kiev airport Boryspol as souvenirs.

"Ukrainian souvenirs? Yeah right. Mother-rashka!" - he wrote on his social media. "Alexei Petrov, it's time, my friend, it's time," Biryukov wrote, referring to his friend, an ATO fighter.

In the comments under the photo user Olga Danilova complained that it became difficult to buy a Ukrainian souvenir in Kiev: "I confirm yesterday, I flew from Boryspol airport, I really wanted to bring something [Ukrainian] home but all around were only Matreshka dolls."

And user, Alex Methenny, suggested that retailers switched to Matrioshkas, because "business does not do as well with [Ukrainian] embroideries".

Eugene Ignatenko suggested; "If you dive into the story deeper, you will see that the Matrioshka is in fact, the victim of kidnapping. The Russians stole it from the Chinese. Like dumplings and a lot of interesting things. Therefore, we will react more calmly. We will think that we have Ukrainianized the doll. "
