Damascus, Syria - A pro-government militia fighter has warned civilians to keep away from Al-Qaeda linked groups in Idlib that is currently controlled by jihadist groups.
This comes as the Syrian Army and its allies prepare to launch a new operation to liberate Abu Duhour airbase.
“We are addressing the innocent and honorable civilians of Idlib who have not been involved with Jabhet al-Nusra, Ahrar al-Sham or the Free Syrian Army: seek safety away from the jihadists before the sweeping ground invasion toward Abu Duhour airbase begins during the next 24 hours,” the fighter said in a video.
The speaker is a part of the pro-government Khalid al-Daher group who originate from the villages surrounding the Abu Duhour airbase in Idlib countryside.
