Yazidi women rescued from final ISIS stronghold in eastern Syria - Like This Article

November 9, 2017 - Fort Russ News - Paul Antonopoulos

With the final ISIS stronghold of Albukamal in eastern Syria liberated by the Syrian Army and its allies yesterday, as reported by FRN, numerous amounts of Yazidi slaves were freed from ISIS.

The Yazidis, an ethnoreligious group from an isolated corner in northwest Iraq, were the victims of a brutal genocide committed by ISIS where men were summarily executed, women became domestic and sex slaves, and children were kidnapped and indoctrinated with Salafi Islam.

With the rapid takeover of northern Iraq by ISIS, but also its rapid collapse, many Yazidi sex slaves were transferred into Syria.

Panicking ISIS forces in eastern Syria left behind their sex slaves as the terrorist group has effectively become a small-scale insurgency incapable of reaching the heights it did at its peak in 2014 and 2015.
