Russia can not help but worry that Japan is stepping up their potential for an offensive operation on its borders. This was announced today at a press conference in Moscow, by a Professor of Historical Sciences, Vyacheslav Zimonin.
"We are concerned that from Sakhalin to Hokkaido, there are more than half of all of Japan's armed forces. It is escalating the potential for an offensive operation. Hokkaido has put into readiness 16 missile launchers, ships and aircraft armed with the anti-ship missile launcher "Harpoon" - Zimonin said.
According to him, Japan is now able to produce up to 600 hits against the Kuril Islands and the Sea of Okhotsk from Hokkaido.
Japan's defense budget is $50 billion, which is greater than the budgets of the nuclear NATO members Britain and France.
"What is this for? Who is going to attack Japan? Why create such powerful means to counter 'aggression'? No one has this in their plans, so the purpose must be another objective" said Zimonin.
