At least 15 civilians, many of them women and children, were killed on Saturday after ISIS terrorists started to shell Harabesh and Al Joura neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city in eastern Syria.
63 people had to be hospitalized. Material damage was also dealt to public and private properties.
Abdel Najem Al Obeid, Chairman the of Health Directorate in Deir Ez Zour, said the injured have since been transported to the medical center in Harabesh neighborhood and the military clinic at Deir Ez Zour Airport and are currently receiving treatment.
Not long after the attacks, Syrian Air Force launched intense strikes against ISIS positions in the southern part of Deir Ez Zour city, killing and injuring scores of terrorists, in addition to destroying their weapons and ammunition stockpiles.
Meanwhile, Syrian Arab Red Crescent confirmed that more than 5000 aid packages were delivered to the children, living in the besieged city of Deir Ez Zour. The packages were dropped by Syrian and Russian aircrafts.
New progress was reported, related to reconciliation agreement. The third batch of jihadists and the largest one so far has left the problematic district of Barzeh, located at the eastern outskirts of Damascus.
2672 people, 1076 jihadists, left the district earlier on Saturday and are en route to the jihadist-occupied areas in Eastern Aleppo countryside and Idleb. Some people who did not wish to submit to the peace agreement, remained inside the district.
The Syrian Army is also closing in on the US/Jordanian-backed terrorists in Al Tanf area, located at the southern side of Iraqi border. Larger chunks of land near the Jordanian borders were reportedly seized by Syrian Army during its efforts against ISIS.
