Syrian Forces Deal More Damage to ISIS in Deir Ez Zour, Thwart Another Infiltration Attempt in Hama - Like This Article

Syrian Army operations against ISIS terrorists in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour, continued on Monday. 

South-west of the city of Deir Ez Zour, plenty of ISIS terrorists were killed, in addition to destruction of a machine-gun equipped vehicle and a bulldozer.

Intense airstrikes and artillery fire targeted ISIS positions at Hill 17, the Electricity Company, and in the vicinity of Liwa Al Tamin, located at the southern axis of the city, where a vehicle equipped with a heavy machine-gun and ISIS training centers were destroyed.

Units of the Syrian Army were also busy in the countryside of Hama province, where yet another ISIS infiltration attempt was thwarted by the army units, this time aimed at the military checkpoint, located east of the town of Al Sa’an.

According to the field reports, clashes with ISIS terrorists broke out when they were trying to attacked a military checkpoint in Al Majbal area, east of the town of Al Sa’an on Sunday night. 

Their attempts were immediately thwarted, with 2 ISIS terrorists being killed and a vehicle, equipped with a 23mm machine-gun, being destroyed. 

Some terrorists managed to flee towards Al Badiya desert, leaving their weapons and ammunition behind, including an RPG launcher, two PKC machine-guns and two armor-piercing artillery shells.
