Authorities cannot begin the evacuation of children from a Donetsk township, which is part of the Kirovsk City Council, due to continuing attacks by Kiev. This was announced by the head of the Kirovsk administration, Gennadiy Kartsev.
"People are sitting in basements because of the fact that the attacks do not stop," - he said, adding that "the Ukrainians are specifically hitting busy sites, residential homes and kindergartens."
"Everything is ready for the evacuation, but the Ukrainians do not hear us, while Kiev militants continue shelling. We cannot begin the evacuation of children," - said Kartsev.
Earlier, the Department of Internal Policy of Kirovsk confirmed that the authorities are developing a plan of action on where the children will be evacuated to.
