The first deputy chairman of the Federation Council's international affairs committee, Vladimir Dzhabarov, has stated that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has every right to strike back after the destruction of the Syrian Air Force aircraft coalition.
"Knocking down a Syrian plane shows whom the American coalition is really fighting in Syria. Assad appears to have every right to strike back! They cannot allow the escalation of the conflict in Syria. Or has Trump decided to escalate the conflict in order to improve his profile in the United States? "- he wrote on Twitter.
A reminder, that the US-led coalition against ISIS targeted the Syrian Su-22 in Raqqa province, after they allegedly dropped bombs near the Syrian Defense Force positions.
Damascus stated that the Syrian Air Force plane was on a mission against ISIS.
