Representatives of analytical and political science centers in the US have visit Mariupol and Shirokino in Eastern Ukraine, in order to get acquainted with the socio-economic situation in the region and discuss technical and material support - as reported in the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
"While working in the ATO zone (anti terrorist operation zone), the American military and political experts have held meetings with representatives of the operational-tactical group of the Ukrainian side, their subordinate units and departments. In the process, they discussed with the Ukrainian members of the issue of security, technical and material support." - it said in a statement.
As noted, special attention is paid to the use of modern technical means of intelligence, including unmanned aerial vehicles.
"The delegation of experts from the United States visited the frontline village of Shirokino, where they inspected combat damage at a local school, and other infrastructure which has suffered from the recent shelling" - added the Ukrainian Ministry.
