Ukraine's Minister of Social Policy blames an economic shortcoming on Ukrainians' appetite

To ensure that the expense structure of ordinary Ukrainians looks more decent, they should eat less, says the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Andriy Reva.

Andrey Reva found a simple way to correct the unattractive picture of the structure of expenses of ordinary Ukrainians, in which about 50 percent of the funds go to food. To do this, Ukrainians need to eat less, says Reva.

The minister answered the question about why Ukrainians spend 50 percent of their income on food, while in Germany they spend on average not more than 14 percent on food as follows:

"They (the Germans - ed.) Have a different diet, their food culture is very different from ours," Reva said. At the same time, he remembered his grandfather, who "considered that he ate well all his life:"

"He believed that you can deny yourself this or that, but that a full-fledged healthy diet is very important," said Reva.
