Backed by the Syrian Air Force, units of the Syrian Army launched intense strikes against ISIS positions and supply routes in the surrounding areas of Deir Ez Zour on Thursday.
According to the field reports, ISIS gatherings, supply routes and movements were targeted in the surrounding areas of Al Panorama, Deir Ez Zour Airport, Wadi Al Thurdeh, the graveyard areas, Huweijet Sakr, Al Mrei’iyeh, Tallet Alloush and the village of Al Baghiliyeh, located in the western countryside of Deir Ez Zour.
Scores of the terrorists were killed, and their weapons and vehicles destroyed.
A group of residents in Deir Ez Zour managed to raise the Syrian flag at Al Halabiya roundabout, located at the northern entrance of the city.
Meanwhile, local sources from the town of Mayadeen in the eastern countryside of the province confirmed that clashes erupted between two ISIS-aligned terrorist groups in Al Maharem neighborhood.

The same sources also said that notorious Iraqi terrorist Abu Shadi Al Jilani was among those killed in the clashes.
In addition, locals managed to kill 3 ISIS terrorists, including “Abu Zaid Darnaj” and two other foreign-born terrorists, while clashing with them near of Al Muhdatheh School at the Old Airport neighborhood in Deir Ez Zour city.
