September 19, 207 - Fort Russ News - Paul Antonopoulos

Yesterday it became officially confirmed by the Syrian military that the Syrian Army crossed onto the eastern shores of the Euphrates River from the city of Deir Ezzor, as reported by Fort Russ News.

After successfully clearing an area of the eastern shore, engineering units of the Syrian Army arrived to consolidate and secure their new positions after Special Operation units cleared the area from ISIS terrorists.

Since securing a portion of the eastern bank, the Syrian Army today has liberated their first town on this side of the river, Marat. In addition, the Syrian Army has begun engaging ISIS forces in Khasham and have liberated a part of the town.

It is expected that the Syrian Army will continue its impressive assault against the terrorist group and continue to liberate more areas of the region today.
