UN demands that Kiev shut down “Peacemaker”

The Ukrainian website "Peacemaker" was created to intimidate participants in the Russian Spring in Ukraine, at first publishing specific information about the organizers of the referendum in Donbass. The writer Oles Buzin was killed a few days after his information was published on Peacemaker. For those who are stuck on the territory under the control of the Ukrainian regime, getting on the list poses a very real real danger of becoming a victim of the secret terror deployed by the authorities and the Nazis who serve them. The owner of the site is an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko.

Ukrainian Nazis, however, have outdone themselves. Foreign journalists visiting Donbass have been included on Peacemaker’s list, which has provoked protests from international organizations. The site also began publishing the information of anybody in art and politics who dared to visit Crimea or the Republics of Donbass.

The situation changed when Yulia Tymoshenko and Sergei Vlasenko were added to the lists of the Peacemaker after the former and her associates broke through the cordon on the Polish-Ukrainian border and helped the ex-governor of the Odessa region, Saakashvili, to enter the country. Only after the publishing of Tymoshenko’s info on Peacemaker has the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights called on Ukrainian authorities to conduct an effective investigation and take measures to remove personal data from the site. The Ukrainian police, thus, have to conduct an "effective investigation" against themselves…

UN pressures Ukraine to pay pensions to displaced persons

On September 13th, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine re-opened the possibility of pensions and social payments for internally displaced persons via cash and non-cash transactions through any banks, and not only through Oshadbank.

This decision was made under pressure from the UN. Fiona Frazer, the head of the United Nations mission, called on the Ukrainian authorities to restore pension pay-outs to the residents of the uncontrolled territories of the Donetsk and the Lugansk regions. This has been reported by the Information Department of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“The citizens of Ukraine must receive pensions regardless of their place of residence. The pension is their property, and no one has the right to deny them the right to a pension. Ukraine must fulfill its international obligations and ensure respect for the rights and freedoms of all its citizens,” Frazer is quoted as saying. Previously, the UN reported that approximately 600,000 citizens in the conflict zone in Donbass do not receive pensions.

Lydia Kuzmenko, the Legal Adviser of the United Nations Agency for Refugees, said that there is no direct ban on paying pensions to residents of Donbass in accordance with the law. According to her, there are formal legal reasons for which migrants are deprived of their rights to a pension. Kuzmenko stressed, however, that a pension is not a social payment, but the acquired right of every citizen. According to the expert, Ukrainian politicians are operating with a logic to the tune of "since there are no central authorities in those territories, we should not pay those people”.

Doctor Liza immortalized in Donetsk

A memorial plaque commemorating  Elizaveta Glinka, known as Dr. Liza, was opened on September 19th at the entrance of the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital (RCCH) in Donetsk. It is from this hospital that Glinka transferred severely ill Donbass children to Russia for treatments.

The representative of the fund Natalya Avilova and the head doctor of the children's hospital, Sergey Markov, led the opening of the memorial sign. The event was also attended by representatives of the government of the DPR, such as Deputy Commander of the Operational Command, Eduard Basurin, and the parents of children who were saved by Dr. Liza and doctors of the RCCH.

After the opening of the memorial plaque, tribute was paid to Glinka's memory with a moment of silence, then flowers were laid by the memorial sign. On the plate itself are the words of Elizaveta Glinka: "I will take children from Donetsk until the war is over. Or until they will kill me. Because they will not survive there. They have no other chance.”

Ukraine bombs the "school truce”

On September 18th, at about 8 P.M., a monument to the paratroopers who gave their lives in the defense of the LPR was damaged, as an infantry fighting vehicle stationed near the entrance of the theatre exploded. Fortunately, there were no victims. The law enforcers of the LPR suspect Ukrainian saboteurs to be responsible for the act.

What’s more, on September 17th, the official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, stated that, despite all the efforts of the Republic, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have unilaterally broken the "school truce". The situation in the zone of responsibility of the People's Militia of the LPR has sharply deteriorated, as Ukrainian troops have started using heavy artillery again.

"We believe that these bombardments are connected with the preparation for Poroshenko's speech at the UN General Assembly on September 20th, as well as the absence of an order to the Supreme Armed Forces to completely cease fire," Marochko said.

On the night of September 19th, the front of the Donetsk Kirov’s City Council was bombarded.
