The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has become isolated from its neighboring states ahead of the independence referendum tomorrow.
Iran has closed its airspace and all flights to the autonomous region in northern Iraq as tomorrow it is expected the majority of people will vote in favor of independence, Sura News reported.
This comes as Turkey, Iran and Iraq have all agreed to close all land crossings into the KRG if the referendum continues despite the international community urging the region not to, the report continued.
However, Turkey and Iraq have not closed its airspace with the KRG. This can change at any given moment though.
