Alyona Zaitseva, the 20-year-old daughter of the Ukrainian multi-millionaire energy tycoon Vasily Zaitsev, has killed at least six people, schoolgirl including, after jumping a red light at a pedestrian crossing.
According to police, whole carnage was in the streets of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv when her speeding Lexus struck a VW Touareg on Wednesday.
The Lexus completely overturned and landed on its wheels before mowing down people that were waiting on the pavement at a pedestrian crossing.
The dead included a 15-year-old schoolgirl.
Several people were also wounded. Among them was a seven months pregnant woman who is said to be in a highly critical condition.
According to one of the eyewitnesses, the whole scene looked like a war zone.
Right after the crash, Zaitseva's armed bodyguards drove up in two jeeps to protect her from the angry crowd, rather than helping the wounded.
Zaitseva, who remained uninjured, was initially detained for three days. If convicted, she might spend up to ten years in prison.
