Aleppo, Syria - Residents of Manbij, a town in northern Aleppo countryside controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), staged a general strike to protest a decision to impose mandatory draft on young residents of the city, as reported by FRN yesterday.
In response, the SDF have promised to punish protesters in Manbij who claim they protests were setup by the Turkish and Syrian governments.
Arab components of the SDF have refused to fulfill the orders.
The US-led SDF begun painting an "X" on on protesters houses and businesses after issuing statement to "punish" people who were against the forced conscription of young men.
