Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - Following from the Houthis strike on Riyadh airport, Saudi Arabia has blamed Iran for the attack.
The Houthis resist Saudi aggression against Yemen, and are reportedly backed by Iran.
In response, Saudi Arabia released a statement stating that: “Saudi Arabia also has a right to respond to Iran at the appropriate time and manner, supported by international law and in accordance with its inherent right to defend its territory, its people and its interests protected by all international conventions.”
Effectively, Saudi Arabia threatened Iran with war because of the resistance posed by the Houthis in Yemen.
However, in response to the strike, Iranian hard-line newspaper, Kayhan, announced that Dubai will be the next target of the Houthis, as seen in the above newspaper clipping.
The United Arab Emirates, in which Dubai is a major city, is part of the Saudi-led coalition that conducting daily airstrikes against Yemeni civilians and infrastructure and is exacerbating the cholera outbreak in the country.
Iran's Press Supervisory Board has put Kayhan newspaper on notice for the headline. It is not yet known what this entails.
