WASHINGTON DC, US. The press service of the US presidential administration issued a statement for the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution in Russia.
The text states that the event led to the creation of the USSR and "the dark decades of repressive communism, political philosophy incompatible with freedom, prosperity and a worthy attitude to human life."
The White House believes that the century that has passed since the October Revolution, claimed the lives of 100 million people, attributing it to various communist totalitarian regimes around the world.
The American administration accused the Communists that, under the pretext of building a free society, they systematically subjected to violence and exploitation a huge number of people, taking away their various freedoms and subordinating citizens to the state through fear and coercion.
The USSR's free medical care, mortgage-free living, annual vacations and free education at all levels certainly can't match the 'civil freedoms' that exist in modern day America.
