Soldiers of the Syrian assault brigade Tiger Forces, supported by the Russian air force, have once again engaged in battle in the strategically important city of Maan in the north of Hama province.
Together with militiamen from the National Defense Force, Syrian army units once again stormed the city of Maan, which had been seized by the combined forces of Jebat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra), Ahrar ash-Sham, and other bandit groups.
Pro-government sources have reported that Maan has been totally retaken by the Tiger forces and National Defense Forces militia.
The operation was led by Major General Suheil al-Hassan and supported by Russia’s aerospace forces in Syria.
Militants in Hama continue to fight amongst each other. An ISIS cell was also discovered in the district of al-Badia in the northeast of Hama which consisted of 4 suicide bombers. One was killed, another detonated himself, and two were taken prisoner.
Since October 11th, Syria’s special Tiger Forces have made significant progress in northern Hama and have liberated the billages of Kaukab, Qubariya, and a number of residential areas.
